Have you ever wondered how Super Ranila cold-pressed oils are made?
We use wooden machines to extract oil unlike many who use iron machines. This machine is used to extract all kinds of oils from seeds like Groundnut (Peanut), Black Sesame (Gingelly), White Sesame (Gingelly), Coconut (Copra), Mustard and Sunflower seeds. During this process, the seeds are crushed using pressure which causes the temperature to rise. The temperature during the extraction process of oil plays a very important role in the quality of the oil that is being produced. The lower the extraction temperatures the better the quality of oil that is being produced. In iron machines the temperature can go upto 90 degrees C and the quality of the oil is compromised and is not good. In our case, as we use wooden machines the temperature does not rise beyond 49 degrees C hence they are classified as cold pressed oils. We at Super Ranila operate our machines at about12-15 revolutions per minute (RPM) to maintain the extraction temperatures below 49 degrees C. Lower extraction temperatures ensures maximum nutrients transfer from the seed to oil. This helps in the retention of the goodness and essential nutrients of the oils.
